Radiation and explosive-free status must be resolved
Scrap cargo with unknown radiation or explosive-free status should not be treated as shipment-ready until screening/certification is captured.
OECD Green/Amber classification must be confirmed
Recoverable waste controls depend on Green or Amber classification, destination membership, and national implementation. Non-OECD destinations need separate review.
EEI/AES filing responsibility must be assigned
U.S. export data may need to be filed through AESDirect or an authorized filing method before export unless an exception applies.
Separate commodity brokerage from regulated ocean transportation intermediary activity
U.S.-based ocean freight forwarding/NVOCC services may require FMC licensing, financial responsibility, and tariff compliance. The app should generate RFQs and comparisons unless the organization has a verified license profile.
Restricted-party screening required
All parties, vessels, carriers, banks, ports, origin/destination countries, and transit countries should be screened against applicable restricted-party lists before award or booking.
